11:36 AM CST on Monday:

I think I left Disc 1 of Firefly in Shannon’s DVD player, and I left my NY Islander’s hat in Nic’s car.

Tragedy has struck.

Also, we had to wait at the gate while mechanics put new brakes on the plane, a fact which bothered the woman two seats away from me. I would think that the fact that they’re new would ease her worries, but I don’t know. She ate a sandwich, maybe she’s ok.
Besides that, my trip has been uneventful, and I’ve come to terms with the fact that I don’t think anyone famous is on my plane. Everyone seems to be watching two day old reruns of E! News, though. At the moment, we’re flying over Clarksdale, MS, with about 3 hours and 52 minutes to go. For being in a plane, we sure aren’t making good time.

~~~ (at this point i stopped keeping track of the time, because i got confused by time zones) ~~~
They were showing news reports about a plane crash on the plane. The irony is….i don’t know.
~~
I met dave grohl near the baggage claim.
~~
the area of LA between LAX and 1825 Cahuenga is quite sketchy.
~~
This is when i stopped keeping a text file of my FEELINGS in hope of posting it, so now I’m going to ramble. Hollywood is dirty. There’s tons of homeless people. I’ve seen some famous people (namely: dave grohl, ray romano, shannon elizabeth, chris parnell, and quite possibly the janitor from scrubs).
I have sent in headshots/resumes to a few things (two TV shows…one called Clone, one called When Ninjas Attack, and a film that needed extras).
We still don’t have internet in the apartment, but I came down to Solar De Cahuenga, and it’s decent.  really fucking expensive, though. 4 bucks for 15 oz juice.
I have yet to find Nathan Fillion.
Or Joss Whedon.
I did buy a book about scientology though. Interesting read so far. I’ve read the back of it.
Kyle and I walked to Beverly Hills two days ago. That was a huge mistake. It was like 6 miles.
Subways here have avacado.
I don’t know what else to say. If someone wants to donate $135 bucks so i can get a backstage.com subscription, that would be awesome.
Uhmmmmm
k, bye.
p.s. – our cable/internet gets hooked up on Tuesday, so i’ll update more frequently then. Or i’ll spend all day playing Call of Duty 4. One of the two.
We don’t have dedicated internets at the apartment yet, so I’m not really able to update until we get the webospheres piping to our humble abode (which has amazing hardwood floors, btw). I’m setting up an appointment to get that taken care of on Thursday, and then I promise to make an epic post about the past 4 days, including the ironic tale about news of plane crashes on a plane.
i said good day!
At 7 am tomorrow morning, I leave auburn, al, my home of 20 years, to move to los angeles, ca to try my hand at the entertainment business.
I. am terrified.
It’s not even because i’m afraid of flying or police brutality or east side gangs who want to shoot me on principle. I’m afraid of not being able to accomplish my dream. I’m afraid of failing miserably and having to crawl home scathed.
But i don’t want to have to say I never tried.
I’m having to leave behind many loved ones, including the love of my life, Shannon. I will miss them all terribly (some more than others :o ), but i really feel like this is something I must do. I cannot waste away in auburn any longer.
I’m writing this blog so that people can keep up with me and my life, and so that i can rant about how lame celebrities really are (i’m fully convinced i’m going to meet Nathan Fillion and be best friends with him).
Anyway, that’s all for now. I suppose I should pack. or cuddle.
can you pack a cuddle?
